After a particularly bad fight with her father that resulted in her horn nearly being broken off in her early teens, she ran away into the Everfree Forest, where a mysterious "unicorn" bestowed upon her the gift of alicornhood. Nowadays, Apple Juice generally hangs around the outskirts of Sweet Apple Acres, protecting it from the fading magic & rising unrest of the rest of Equestria. Was originally a joke OC I made back in elementary school.
